If You Ever Felt : Like A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing

Kevin spent the first half of every day outside socializing. He was able to bond with others in different social groups. At his job he worked hard, was well respected, and was as punctual as can be. His cubical was small but cozy, decorated with pictures of friends and items that remind him of back home.

After work he would hang around the cafe that the other co-workers. After many laughs and jokes, he drove home alone. This was how every weekday went. But when the weekends came along he would sit in his room, and the last half of his day, alone in his apartment. The loneliness was comforting to him. It seemed he found it more than when he was with friends.

This is what drove him crazy. With the silence and shallow light, he was able to think clearly. It was almost zen like; thinking with that kind of magnitude could be considered dangerous. For when Kevin was alone, there was this sort of crushing air mixed with being secluded. Though the air was toxic, his lungs combated the poisons of his downward thoughts with the thought of company.

His co-workers liked him enough to try to call him out to parties and gatherings, even to come over and watch movies. But more often than not Kevin would remain in his apartment not quite sulking, but not caring. He didn't care about going out all the time, he preferred it that way. Why be so rapped up in the world? Gossip? Celebrities? Drinking? I don't need that, no one does. I'm not anti-social, just against a lot of pointless activities. Kevin couldn't get passed these algorithms of thoughts.

Kevin spent all of his days like this, drifting in and out of loneliness. Be it as it may, that's how he died. Now, the real question isn't whether or not he died with alone, but what to do when we encounter someone like Kevin. Should we just let them be? Not living is their way of living?

You can't tame a lone wolf, and you can't stand out heard. So, do you live life as a wolf? A sheep? Or a wolf in sheep's clothing?

  4. this is pretty amazing dude! extremely thought provoking! i think its best to just let people live how they want to, given abit of intervention is whats needed, its different with each person, and i guess calling everyone unique, is just another way of saying everyones the same

  5. Hmmm, interesting question. I guess I'm a wolf that occasionally dons sheep's clothing, because I like that aspect of life too.
