The Desert Tales: Ride, Ride Away

I am now free, the chains have lost hold.
I must leave this The Desert behind,
these barren lands have haunted me long enough.
The sun has rinsed my fears,
sweated from brow to brow.
The dry sky, these ghosts that taunt,
must now face my back.

I ran from uncertainty,
the mistakes too absurd to face.
From palm trees to mountains,
the Bandit should me my Oasis.
Time to be a man, learn what I know,
please be ready, when I come home.

From the cradle to the grave,
I will always be an outlaw.
No matter the outlaw, can't let the out law you.
Running from the past,
leaves you with no present.

Take a drink from the mirage,
for false hope will cease to arise.
Let it be so, that this city will change you.
I'm new, reborn, a shape shifter in dirt.

To the horizon I ride,
nothing from nowhere to look back.
You can always find me,
where sand meets sky.

I ran from uncertainty,
the mistakes too absurd to face.
From palm trees to mountains,
the Bandit should me my Oasis.
Time to be a man, learn what I know,
please be ready, when I come home.
