Free-Fall Collection: Into The Black

I can't help but step back and admire this place from afar
Watching everything spin and shine like gold
I want to capture it my eyes, forever to hold,
People don't really know how to please
If they did I wouldn't be here
So help me stars find a place that I can call my own
Where I cease to find myself ever being alone,

And as I fall away
I see past the galaxy
Right into your eyes,
It is so cold above the Earth,
Warp your arms around me
Keep me warm, safe from the harm of the swarm.

The space has its way of being so silent
My ears can bare the sound
Relax the mind, caress the thought
That I might not ever touch the ground,
Coping with the terrifying fact
My light my will fade into the black,

I am able to drift along the empty sea with ease
I don't have to second guess my attempts
To be free, to acknowledge the setting sun,

Being free isn't getting rid of ball and chains
It means you are willing able to change,

And as I fall away
I see past the galaxy
Right into your eyes,
It is so cold above the Earth,
Warp your arms around me
Keep me warm, safe from the harm of the swarm.

I don't want to come back down, please don't take this away from me,
The silence from the yelling and fighting lets my lung take in the invisible air,
The comets, planets and stars gather in numbers and in comfort,
They know I am alone,
I am an alien seeking its mothership to take me home,
Away from this mess, far from the disaster,
I just want to stay here in the cold, dark, space,
Where nothing will have an effect on what I do or act,
Just have a moment of silence for me as I drift into the black.
