Where Monsters Reside: Decisions We Make

All come of the feast of the beast,
I recall the faint of man.
Fallen for the sins I've done,
reborn, as I arose.
I shall build myself again.
Supporting the weight of demands,
you better be there for me.

He's gone into the dark,
never to shine a shadow.
Cast in a moment in time,
I've found my calling forth.
I am the shield from the rays.
Thought bold and bright,
the Sun will always damage your sight.

Take it from me,
the past still haunts like a ghost.
Though he can't be seen,
that voice comforts the rage.
It is all in your head,
you can fight to confront this, just as I did.

I buried the hopes and the dreams
in which she meant so much to me.
I will never let go, I cannot forget
all of the reasons I regret.

He's gone into the dark,
never to shine a shadow.
Cast in a moment in time,
I've found my calling forth.
I am the shield from the rays.
Thought bold and bright,
the Sun will always damage your sight.

Harmful, to body and mind alike.
Render me helpless, surrender the drink,
as I will take my breath.
Such a danger to those around,
I will never be cured.

Raise up your drink high,
for I will miss you all.
Now let me drink,
as I drift into my ever-lasting sleep.
