Traveling Without Suitcases

on the outside of town,
where the road seems to end,
it's hard to tell from the car tracks where we begin,
to head out of the this city,
now the miles we traveled are the miles apart,
but we'll always know, how to get back to our start,

so just go, and walk with me,
when we hit the ocean, we'll swim across the sea,
if your arms will get tired, get on my back,
I'll get you to safety even if I have a heart attack,

a thousand miles we covered,
when we thought we wouldn't get to shore,
we swam our hearts out, left our bodies sore,
a simple mix of joy an relief,
I stutter at all of the disbelief,

we finally made it,
the warm sand on our feet,
we never lose, don't know defeat,
we came reboot, start again,

so just go, and walk with me,
when we hit the ocean, we'll swim across the sea,
if your arms will get tired, get on my back,
I'll get you to safety even if I have a heart attack,

we came and conquered, saw it all,
the lights, and the builds standing tall,
empty deserts to open green hills,
I can't simply explain how I feel,

we begin to miss the house we had,
lack of a roof will leave us sad,
pack up, time to go home,
travel back to what we've always known,

so just go, and walk with me,
when we hit the ocean, we'll swim across the sea,
if your arms will get tired, get on my back,
I'll get you to safety even if I have a heart attack,
